Terms

Terms for a trusted food support network.

These terms set expectations for using OurTable respectfully, accurately and safely across public, community, partner, agency and supplier pathways.

Using The Service

OurTable is intended to help people request food, share food, coordinate referrals, support logistics and connect with approved services. Users should provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge and update it when circumstances change.

Accounts And Roles

  • Users are responsible for keeping account access secure.
  • Portal access may depend on role, relationship, consent, approval status or service purpose.
  • Organisations are responsible for ensuring their staff and representatives use access appropriately.

Consent And Information Sharing

Users must not request, access or share another person's information unless there is consent, authority or another valid reason. Where information is shared to coordinate support, it should be limited to what is needed for that support.

Identity And Supporting Documents

Identity and supporting documents may be requested only where they are relevant to eligibility, referral, safety, funding or service delivery. Users and organisations must handle those records carefully and respect any visibility limits that apply.

AI-Assisted Tools

AI features may help draft requests, summarise information, match resources or guide next steps. AI outputs are assistance only and should be reviewed by people before they are relied on for significant decisions or support actions.

Food, Safety And Service Information

Food sharers and suppliers should provide clear information about quantity, storage, allergens, expiry, handling and pickup requirements. Agencies and partners should use service information only for legitimate support, referral or network coordination purposes.
