Privacy

Privacy is part of how support is delivered.

OurTable collects and uses information to connect food, people and support services. Our commitment is to handle that information with care, transparency, consent and appropriate safeguards.

What We May Collect

We may collect personal, contact, household, dietary, accessibility, identity, service, referral and support information when it is needed to deliver or coordinate food and related support. Some information may be sensitive and is treated with additional care.

Consent And Choice

People should be told why information is requested, how it may be used and what choices they have. Consent should be specific to the purpose wherever practical, especially when information is shared with agencies, partners or third-party services.

Use And Sharing

  • Information may be used to create profiles, manage requests, match food, coordinate delivery and connect people with support.
  • Information sharing should be limited to what is relevant for the agreed purpose.
  • Third-party sharing should occur with consent, legal authority or another clearly documented basis.
  • People should be able to ask who can see their information and request changes where appropriate.

Security And Confidentiality

OurTable is committed to using strong security practices, access controls, encryption, de-identification and other safeguards suitable for the sensitivity of the information being handled. Access should be limited to people and services with an appropriate purpose.

AI-Assisted Features

AI may assist with drafting, matching, summaries, navigation or support triage. AI-assisted features should be transparent, appropriately supervised and designed so people can understand and control how their information is used.

Access, Correction And Visibility

People should be able to review profile information, request correction and set reasonable limits on visibility and sharing. Restrictions may be subject to operational, safety, legal or funding requirements, but the platform should explain those limits clearly.
